PB to be saved??

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has reportedly been blamed by Fox for adversely affecting Prison Break’s dwindling US ratings.

“Audiences just aren’t responding to the show,” a Fox source told website SyFy Portal about Sarah Connor, which is screened at 8pm on Monday nights as a lead-in to the jailbreak drama. “Our biggest surprise is the 18-to-49s [demographic] – those numbers are in the toilet.”

The insider added that Fox is likely to axe the Terminator spinoff during its current second season and attempt to salvage Prison Break in another timeslot.

“All I can say is that production will likely stop, and I would think that Fox might try to air some of the episodes already in the can,” the source stated. “But I don’t know. They don’t want to lose Prison Break, so there could be some schedule shuffling in the future.”

  1. I really hope that FOX wants to save Prison Break because all the show’s fans want to keep this series on!
I’ve already let a message here about the possible cancellation, but I’ll let it again:
    This show can’t be cancelled.
I’m from Brazil and here in my country all Prison Break’s brazilian fans are desperate ( including me ) with this news.
I can’t believe that after all the success, great comments and audience, the show will have an ending like this! It can’ t happen.
In my point view, it’s really unfair for all the team (cast, writers, producers, …..) that has been working hard, with effort and dedication, during all these years to giving us one of the best series ever.
And we ( PB fans ) need to do something. A petition or anything necessary to save the show. We need to let people know how much we like PB, because otherwise, even if the cancellation don’t happen, the show will be reminded for its disagreeable moment and not for all the success and applause it’ve already conquered.
What surprises me the most is that how a show of this level, with plot and script incredibly surprising and
intriguing, can be in a position like that!!!????
SO PLEASE …..beyond turn on the TV’s every Monday night on FOX, let’s do something (eg: petition or any action like this ) to prove that it is our favourite (or one of our favourite ) TV program and that Prison Break, definitely, is not a poor or common program, so it deserves a little bit more of our attention.

    kisses for all PB fans

  3. if all the fans out there who’re are not from USA love this show so much and want to save it, i think you guys should do a petition or all of you guys can email to the producers to tell them how much you guys love the show b/c w/ the low rating from America, it’s kind of hard to keep the show, so it’s time for you guys foreign audiences to make some actions, spread the words.

  4. I’m definitely in for the petition. Joanna, please advise where should we sent it, how we should organise. Holland and Romanian fans will support this!

  5. I don’t think a petition will work…after all, “it’s all about the money.”
What foreign fans can do that can make any difference will be through something like buying DVDs and other merchandise, and also telling friends and families how great the PB series is, and getting them to spend money on PB as well.
Well, yeah, first I have to start cause I’ve been watching on the net too, but I just can’t wait!!
So, let’s spend our money guys! After all, PB series is definitely worth watching many times!
Posted from Japan with lots of love for PB and PB fans around the world.

  6. I agree, this show absolutely cannot be canceled!
I’ve never EVER committed myself to one show EACH and EVERY week before, until prison break

  7. I’m in the UK and I have adored PB from the beginning. I have the first 3 Seasons on DVD and watch the first airing of an episode here on a tuesday and then the 3 repeats during the week, enjoying each episode every time, like seeing it for the first time!

  8. yorie – It’s true that all is about the money but remember when Sara was gone the reaction was something like this one now and I believe that petitions made by fans hepled a lot then and maybe now will help too. Well, of course not only, but we lose nothing if we try. I have to say also that I watched an interview with Jody Lyn O’Keefe(Gretchen Morgan) and she said that there will be 22 episodes. Hope it’s true, but there is much time and everything can be changes quickly.

  9. Mery – True. I just thought we could do better than just a petition. Not only do I want a full season, I’m hoping for some more seasons to come. (now, am I asking for too much?) If there’s gonna be a petition, I’m definitely in!!

  10. Me too. At this moment I just want this season to be a full one and about the other we’ll think when the time comes. Unfortunately I’m not in USA, so I can’t help watching on FOX, I’ll have to download.
